Jason Craighead Joins Reeves Collection

August 5, 2008 (RALEIGH, NC) – Raleigh Metro Magazine editor and publisher Bernie Reeves and his wife Katie Reeves, vice president, recently purchased a painting by abstract artist Jason Craighead, adding it to the couple’s impressive collection of original art.

Entitled “Forward Progress-08,” the Reeves’ new 50w x 40h painting mixed media on canvas, and is representative of the evolution of the artist’s recent work.

Among the many artists represented in the Reeves’ extensive collection are Herb Jackson, George Berline, Andre Gisson, Louis St. Lewis, Ceta Scott, Bob Irwin, A.B. Jackson, Richard Finnell, Jacqueline Lefeuvre, Bob Rankin, Rudy Aurora and Nicole Kennedy.

A professional artist for over a decade, Jason Craighead is a recognized leader in the North Carolina art scene. His work has been included in many solo and group exhibitions throughout the Southeastern United States. He has received numerous awards and served as a juror for various art shows. He has been selected as Signature Artist for charitable art auctions, and his work has been featured in a number of publications, including Artists & Art Galleries of the Southeast.

Jason enjoys a strong patron base of private collectors and corporations including former US Senator John Edwards, Zaytoun & Miller PLLC, J. Davis Architects, Capitol Broadcasting Company and Hunter Industries.

He is currently represented by Somerhill Gallery in Durham, NC, Broadhurst Gallery in Pinehurst, NC, Anne Irwin Fine Art in Atlanta, GA, and Bucks Gallery of Fine Art in Newtown, PA.
