Pretty In Pink Foundation Receives “Partners In Caring” Grant

Money will directly benefit North Carolinians with breast cancer.

May 1, 2010 (RALEIGH, NC) — Pretty In Pink Foundation, the only not-for-profit organization in North Carolina that provides financial resources for uninsured and underinsured breast cancer patients with limited financial means, has received a $5000 “Partners in Caring” grant from the Tanner Companies, LLC.

Tanner is the parent company of Doncaster, a line of designer women’s clothing sold only through consultants nationwide, headquartered in Rutherford, NC.

Partners In Caring is the Tanner Foundation’s philanthropic program supporting civic projects that benefit women and their families. Pretty In Pink Foundation was one of six finalists of grantees of charitable organizations recognized for addressing the needs of women.

Now in its sixth year, Pretty In Pink Foundation’s ultimate vision is to eliminate financial barriers and provide financial resources to any and all breast cancer patients with a true financial need for treatment and surgery. The first step to realizing this vision is to expand the Foundation’s efforts throughout North Carolina. By 2020, Pretty In Pink Foundation foresees a point of presence in every state.

“The Partners In Caring grant will help us reach our ultimate goal,” said Penny Lauricella, Pretty In Pink Foundation’s executive director. “We are grateful and honored to be chosen by the Tanner Companies as a recipient of such generosity.”
